By capturing and holding an artifact, each hour your faction will gain [ARTIFACT REQUISITION] points until control of the artifact is lost. Be sure to keep at least one faction member to guard it at all times (note however other factions may use groups to attempt to capture it).
The lead defender (highest level) receives a 50% bonus to their stats (except health) when attacked (providing you do not control any other artifacts - note also if you control 3 or more artifacts, the lead defender will suffer a 25% reduction to their stats at each artifact).
Each additional defending faction member will apply 20% of their stats when calculating the total defense (in the same way as a squad attack) providing they have been active (logged in) within the last 7 days.
